Tractor School

This year’s Tractor School is bigger and better than ever! Another lineup of great classes from some of the hobby’s most knowledgeable instructors.

Here is a little backstory and description of Tractor School!

Tractor School is a demonstrative and interactive day of classes, discussions, stories and demonstrations that has been going on for a few years now. Tractor School is held at our main location in our Vintage Power Showroom in Nokomis, IL once a year. Anyone can register and attend, most of the time it is full of avid agricultural / tractor / machinery enthusiasts or people wanting to get into the tractor hobby and antique tractor world a bit more! The topics presented can range from a lot of various things. For example, last year we had riveting presentations about ignition mechanics, all the way to basics of steam engine principals and functions, to presentations and stories about very early tractor collecting and rare, restored tractors, and we even had an informative presentation on how to safely transfer a tractor or large piece of machinery. Every year is a bit different in terms of topics, and you aren’t going to want to miss out it! We will know more specifics of presentations closer to the Tractor School date, but we promise you won’t be disappointed.

We provide a course manual to all attendees as well, with a short description of each topic being presented and what times, along with some interesting literature from antique tractor books. The objective for tractor school is to simply provide a informative and educational experience and just a fun, unforgettable day for everyone. We provide a delicious ‘Threshermans’ lunch for all registries, and always have a different type of giveaway / ‘goody bag’ of memorabilia for the first 250 registrees as well.

Tractor School is always held very close to our Pre ’30 auction week – which is a week of auctions specifically geared towards early 20th century (Pre 1930’s) tractors, vehicles, machinery, engines, literature, parts, etc. As a Tractor School attendee, you sort of a get a ‘two for one’ deal, as we have our Pre ’30 open house the day after Tractor School as well. Even if you cannot stick around for the Open House the following day, you will be able to see a vast amount of these Pre ’30 items during Tractor School either way! This years Tractor School is being held on April 25th, starting at 9am, ending typically around 3pm.

Stick around the next day for the Pre-30 Auction Open House with scheduled demonstrations on starting and running these machines.  Get your chance for up close learning and even some test drives!

As always, our goal that we strive to achieve is to overload you with good food, good company, lots of stories, laughs and memories to be made!

All are welcome, but we’re limited on class size, so if you’re interested, please take the time to register!  Due to the amount of space we have for the classroom portion of Tractor School, our space is limited, so don’t wait!
